My venture into the, at the time, mysterious world of outboard motors started strictly by chance while attending community college and needing additional income to survive.
After working part time and during summer breaks, I was able to unravel the operating characteristics of JOHNSON/EVINRUDE OUTBOARDS that others thought were too complex.
Realizing this could be a very rewarding career choice, I began working full time as an outboard technician. I completed service training courses in OMC Outboards, OMC Stern Drives, and Cobra Stern Drives. I received my first of six Master Technician Awards in 1983.
Places of employment have included Don’s Marine, Discovery Marine, River City boats, Harrison’s Marine, Harbor Marine, Enterprise Boats, Larson Marine, and a position as Service Training Instructor for Outboard Marine Corporation before opening my own facility in 1998.
